This is a challenge we would like to address within the URBAN XR LAB project. Expertise from the cocreation hub The Enterprise and the research groups GENZ, Vital Cities and Hitlab will be combined to develop a concrete co-creation trajectory for young people aged 14 and older. Within this trajectory, young people will be challenged to (re)design a space, with a focus on sustainable use of space. Within this project, we are also exploring the potential of Extended Reality (XR) to visualize and simulate the young people's ideas.
URBAN XR LAB
Many young people show growing concern about the climate crisis and are determined to take action and make their voices heard. Both local governments and youth organizations want to involve young people in sustainability projects, by having them actively participate in the (re)design of public spaces. But how do you approach this concretely if you are a youth organization, city or municipality?
